■ Introduction

Executives and employees of ‘Yeonghwa Metal Co., Ltd.’ consider their customers the first and make their best efforts for “To The World Class Foundry.”
Furthermore, enact the code of ethics of Yeonghwa Metal in order to comply with laws and ethics, and to fulfill the role and responsibilities of the company.
This is considered as a “criterion for judging the behavior and value of executives and employees” in all management activities.

■ Body

1. The First chapter - Basic ethics of executives and Employees

1) Basic behavioral ethics

  • ● Do the best to carry out one’s duties in honest and sincere manners and to become an ethical representation.
  • ● Should be aware of the contents about all policies and regulations of the company and comply with them.
  • ● To improve reputation and dignity of the company, observe the manners and dignity in all internal and external activities.
  • ● Do the best in one’s duties to pursue the sound profits of the company. Also, protect the business confidential.
  • ● Protect company’s assets and manage them safe from loss, damage, theft, misappropriation and abuse.

2) Fair performance of one's duties

  • ● Treat all customers and partners equally, without discrimination, and perform the duties clearly and transparently.
  • ● Do not engage in any wrongful act using superior or dominant position in the job.
  • ● Do not engage in any cheating that disrupt fair transaction relationship such as accepting bribes and treating entertainment from interested parties.
  • ● Do not receive various conveniences from business partners on personal.
  • ● Should not follow in case of unfair instructions that hinder fairness in performance in one’s duties.

3) Distinction between public and private matters

  • ● Do not pursue unfair profits by using the company's internal information in duty of job and one's position.
  • ● Do not distort, fabricate, or harm the information related to the company and do not disseminate false information or false rumors.
  • ● Do not use personal internet, stock trading, PC communication, games and long hours of private phone calls during office hours.
  • ● Do not use the company's equipment or materials for personal use.
  • ● Do not be double-employed in partner company and not to be engage in personal money transactions (such as borrow, loan guarantees).

4) Healthy organization, create safe and clean working environment

  • ● Based on the trust of colleagues above and below, share and communicate skills, knowledge, and information acquired in our work. And strive for continuous improvement in all aspects such as technology, production, and work process.
  • ● Do not say or act that impair sound organizational atmosphere by causing mutual displeasure or damage, such as sexual harassment, demoralization, violence, and coercion of acts that impose personal burdens.
  • ● Do not harm a healthy organizational culture by forming factions or private organizations based on regionalism or one’s school connection.
  • ● Keep the working environment safe, and comply with safety, environment and health regulations.
  • ● Do not smoke, drink alcohol, or gamble at outside the designated and allowed place.

2. The Second chapter - Responsibilities and duties of the company

1) Compliance with laws and regulations, transparent management

  • ● Comply with international standards and fair-trade regulations for all business activities.
  • ● The company complies with safety, health and environmental laws and standards applicable to our workplace.
  • ● The company's budget must be executed reasonably and efficiently in accordance with its purpose and standards.
  • ● Accounting is processed transparently in accordance with authorized corporate accounting standards and provide the major management information in a timely and fair and sincere manner.

2) Customer satisfaction

  • ● Do the best to provide the best services and products that customers require.
  • ● Accept customers’ requirements and suggestions as much as possible and reflect them first in management activities.
  • ● Constantly strive to keep our promises to our customers and gain trust of them.

3) Respect for shareholders

  • ● Strive to maximize profits and increase shareholders' profits with reasonable investment.

4) Respect for employees

  • ● Treat each employee as an independent person and respect one's basic right.
  • ● Provide fair opportunities to maximize individual's ability and talent. And compensate according to one’s ability and performance.
  • ● Encourage creative thinking and self-development, and actively support all activities for ability development and capability improvement.
  • ● Able to express suggestions, proposals, and difficulties freely and strive for reflection of them in management activities.

3. The Third Chapter - Responsibilities to country and society

1) Wholesome business activities

  • ● Respect the laws, culture, and values of countries and local communities, and comply with various regulations, norms, etc., and do the best to form a wholesome company culture.

2) Fulfillment of social responsibilities

  • ● As a member of community, the company shall make effort to grow with society and become trusted company by fulfilling its responsibility and duty to protect people's lives, safety and environment.
  • ● Sincerely perform duties such as creation of stable employment and tax payment.
  • ● Actively support public interest activities that can contribute to sound social development and actively participate in community service activities.
